Trainings and Workshops

Disability Equity and Inclusion (E&I) Training Sessions are specific and outcome-focused to best meet your organization’s needs. We offer sessions on a wide range of topics, from beginner to advanced.

Our E&I Training Sessions are thoroughly researched and thoughtfully presented. We know that “one size fits all” is never true when it comes to learning, so our sessions are customized to provide the most relevant information and teaching style for each audience. Our interactive format keeps attendees fully engaged and ensures the lessons taught last long after the training session has ended.

Every organization faces unique challenges when it comes to equity and inclusion, whether for-profit, non-profit, or government. Our customized and tailored approach means our E&I Training Sessions are relevant across all sectors and industries. We are deeply passionate about the education we provide through our training sessions, and our presentation style is down-to-earth, interactive, humorous, candid, fluid, and based on our audience during real-time. We take pride in our training sessions and our ability to speak in a meaningful way to all staff members, from front-line to executive level.

ATTENDEES SAY...

I really enjoy when Sarah comes. I feel like I learn something new and it helps me to better prepare for the different kinds of people I meet.

I love the conversations and how real she is!

Sarah is detailed and specific, which makes disability easier to understand. She also adds humor with the stories she shares, and I love that!

Sarah is really interesting and knowledgeable, and she’s vested in her topics. I find her presentations useful and helpful in my field.

Strategic Planning Services

The structures and systems we live and work in reinforce ways to perpetuate inequity for specific categories of people. These were built purposefully and consciously to keep people considered “non-normative” out, and they are a feature of the social, economic, and political systems in which we all exist. First acknowledging and then addressing the inequities that inherently exist in these structures and systems is critical to achieving equity. Eye Level offers a variety of services and support for companies who want to address inequity in strategic business, communications, and administrative plans.

Giving Back

We believe in the power of vulnerability and connection through conversations, and we believe in the power of giving back to the communities we live, work, and play in. Our inclusive volunteering efforts are about making sure that everyone has an opportunity to give back, and feel the positive effects of social inclusion, community membership, and friendship. We know that an educated community can inspire and positively influence the lives of disabled people, and we believe it is our responsibility to connect otherwise disconnected communities.

TESTIMONIALS

When we were in the beginning stages of our nonprofit, Sarah facilitated conversations that helped us identify our goals and values. She was also instrumental in drafting client - and donor - facing communications. Most importantly, she helped us determine our organizational purpose with a clear roadmap for future growth. We would not have thought as ambitiously about our reach, nor would we have such a focused path into the future. Shield Maidens Wheelchair Basketball would not have the impact it does now without the help of Sarah and Eye Level Communications, LLC, and we are immensely grateful!

Sarah walked our organization, Operation Surf, through an entire organizational realignment. She supported our leadership, provided excellent consultation, and helped us navigate the stressful growth of redefining our Mission, Vision, and Values. Her collective experience and energetic personality made the whole process enjoyable and effective. We walked away with a strong first step on our path of change for the better. She helped us rebuild our organization's foundation in the best way possible and we continue to build off of it today. Highly recommend Eye Level Communications, LLC!

Sarah and Eye Level have been amazing to collaborate with over the past few years. Her Disability 101 training received such positive feedback that we decided to bring her back as a keynote speaker, to discuss Effective Disability Communications and Understanding Inclusion in Community Recreation. For each occasion, she was able to customize the content to meet our staff training needs. She ALWAYS brings a wealth of knowledge to our employees, while keeping them engaged in the conversation. I definitely recommend inviting Sarah to speak at your next event or training session. I know we're looking forward to working with her again in the future!
